Susan Ann Brook
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, HCPC reg.
Suzie trained in London at University of East London graduating with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree in 2010. She started her career working in a variety of NHS settings in London hospitals including St. Georges, The Royal London and The London Chest Hospital. It was during her time at Barts Health NHS Trust that she developed a keen interest in trauma and orthopaedics working at their major trauma unit.
Suzie has spent the past 4 seasons working at 2 rugby clubs, Eton Manor RFC and currently working at Sidcup RFC. This has allowed Suzie to develop skills in areas such as assessment of sports injuries, sports specific rehabilitation and pitch side first aid.
Her interest in trauma led to working at DMRC Headley Court for 2 years initially within the complex trauma team and then the lower limbs team. Suzie has worked with complex cases in a Multi-disciplinary team, and also has treated high level sports injuries, through rehab and a gym based approach.
Suzie has recently started working for Sevenoaks Physiotherapy at The Manor Clinic following maternity leave; where she is looking forward to continuing her career in private practice. Suzie tends to favour a rehabilitation approach, gym based if possible, which can be complimented by manual therapy, soft tissue work, acupuncture, taping and education to promote self management.
Suzie regularly attends courses to support continued personal development and plans to continue academic studies next year in Sports Physiotherapy (Masters). Aside of being a new mother, Suzie has a keen interest in Scuba diving which has seen her visit many exotic locations and also dive with a charity who assist injured military personnel with achieving scuba diving qualifications.
