PAUL BUTLER

Paul is a Personal Trainer, Advanced Fitness Instructor and Nutritional Adviser and is registered with the Register of Exercise Professionals.  His speciality is weight loss although his diverse client base ranges from busy professionals wanting to “lose a few of pounds” to full time sports people preparing for competition.  Paul started his fitness career, like many Personal Trainers, gaining knowledge and experience in a gym environment and then quickly realised that to really be able to attend to the individual needs of his clients he needed to run his own business, which he now does successfully.

Paul’s own story plays a large part in his success with his clients.  Six years ago he was working in the financial services sector in London and he was a 21 stone unfit smoker!  Now, 6 stone lighter, a non-smoker and a lot fitter, Paul’s weight loss and fitness journey really does give him the hands-on experience and credentials to be able to help people.

Having learnt so much about food through the changes he has made to his own lifestyle, Paul places more emphasis on nutrition than many other Personal Trainers.  His interest in this field is such that it has led to him writing his first book on nutrition and weight loss, which he hopes to publish this year.

Paul runs Manor Clinic’s very successful Late Stage Rehabilitation Class with Carolyn Searby, one of our Physiotherapists, so he knows what to expect when faced with the demands of training our patients while they are trying to regain their fitness following an injury.

Paul is a competitive Cyclist on both the road and the velodrome and he is also a Level 2 Cycle Coach with British Cycling.  His other sporting interests vary from golf to snowboarding and from badminton to climbing.  He always gives 100% with every sport he takes part in.
