Jackie trained at Kings College Hospital, London and qualified in 1978. She has a post graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of London.
Jackie worked at King’s post qualification, then in private practice in London, and more recently in Sevenoaks. She worked as physiotherapist for Sevenoaks Rugby Club for 13 years, and is now employed by the EGU (English Golf Union) as a physiotherapist dealing with elite junior golfers. She is a keen golfer herself, and also keeps fit with swimming, the gym and Pilates classes.
Jackie is keen to use her expertise in sports medicine, including profiling peoples’ fitness for the sport they participate in. Individual programmes of exercises can improve performance and prevent injuries. She is also interested in adolescent growth and posture issues. Addressing problems at this age is vital to prevent long term problems and susceptibility to injury or pain.
At Manor Clinic Jackie sees patients of all ages. Whether 12 or 92 she feels it is important to focus on the individuals needs and to provide a caring service, whether providing treatment for sporting activities or pain relief. She specialises in orthopaedics and sports injuries and liaises with Consultants, GPs and sports coaches as necessary to provide treatment according to individual requirements.
