Dr Adrian Winbow is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in both the NHS and private sector, qualified at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1969. He became a Consultant in the National Health Service in 1978 and has worked purely in private practice since 1980, both as Medical Director in a Priory Hospital and also a Cygnet Hospital. He is at present the head of a company called Private Psychiatry LLP (Dr Adrian Winbow and Associates LLP) and has a particular interest in management structures and organisational stress.

He has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the South-East initially in the National Health Service and since 1980 has worked as a private consultant psychiatrist in private medical/surgical hospitals and clinics throughout the south east of England. He is a Member of the Association of European Psychiatrists (AEP), the Independent Doctors Forum (IDF) and the Federation of Independent Practitioner Organisations(FIPO).

He also has admitting privileges at Capio Nightingale Hospital in London and Priory Hospital Hayes Grove in Bromley as well.

He has a special interest in General Psychiatry (adult), Affective Disorders (such as depressive illness), Eating Disorders, Alcohol and Substance Misuse, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME). Anxiety Disorders (phobia), Post Traumatic Stress Disorders and Psychotic Illnesses such as Schizophrenia as well as Personality Disorders.

He consults from 66 New Cavendish Street, London; Keats House, London; Manor Clinic, Sevenoaks; Shirley Oaks Hospital, Croydon; Nuffield Hospital, Tunbridge Wells; and Brentwood Medical Centre, Essex.
