Working Background:

I completed my BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree in 2004 at Oxford Brookes University having previously graduated from Salford University in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation degree.

I gained my NHS experience for 2 years before being accepted on to the UK Sport Fast Track Practitioner Programme based in Sheffield at the English Institute of Sport. Here I was taught and mentored by the leading Sports physios and was exposed to sports such as Handball, Volleyball, Synchronised Diving, Boxing and Athletics. I went on to gain a full time position with Great Britain Handball, supporting them in Denmark and the UK for 2 years.

After returning south and working for London Irish in the English Premiership, I then moved to Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre to work full time with England and GB Hockey. I worked here for 8 years and was an integral part of their physio team sharing in huge successes for the sport. My involvement in elite sport has spanned 3 Olympic Games and 2 Commonwealth Games, Rio being my favourite due to its challenges whilst being the most rewarding.  Currently I work on a consultancy basis for the FA with the England Women’s Football Team who are going from strength to strength in ranking and popularity!

My vast experience obviously focus’ around sports but uses those skills to adapt to any patients that presents themselves to me. I am very much a hands on physio whose manual therapy skills are complimented by my Acupuncture qualification and Kinesiology taping skills. I enjoy treating ankles, knees and shoulders particularly and use many forms of exercise rehabilitation, education and self-management strategies to empower patients.
