Medical herbalist, Endobiogenic practitioner, Buteyko therapist
A herbal medicine practitioner with many years’ experience in practice and teaching, Colin graduated in 1991 from the College of Phytotherapy, and since then has treated a wide range of health problems and disorders. He is a member of the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP), one of the main professional organisations for medical herbalists in the UK. He was a co-founder of the British Journal of Phytotherapy, serving as Editor from 1991 to 1998. From 1998 to 2018 he was Senior Lecturer in Herbal Medicine at Middlesex University, becoming Programme Leader in 2010. He has certification in endobiogenic medicine, which he has studied since the 1990s with Dr Jean-Claude Lapraz, and more recently with Dr Kamyar Hedayat. Currently he is President of the Endobiogenic Medicine Society (UK). He is also a registered practitioner of Buteyko Breathing Therapy, and a member of the Buteyko Breathing Association (BBA), which provides Buteyko teacher training for healthcare professionals in the UK. In the herbal field, one of his specialities is the medical use of essential oils.
