Claire graduated from Keele University in 2002, with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy and has an MSc (distinction) in Applied Sports Nutrition from St Mary’s University in 2015.
Since 2002 she has worked both within the NHS and the private sector in the UK, in addition to 6 years in the private sector in Australia. During her time abroad she became an Advanced Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist and specialized in musculoskeletal and Sports rehabilitation and performance, adding qualifications in massage, nutrition, gym instruction/PT and swim coaching. She worked closely with her local swimming club and other sports teams as both physio and coach, and actively participated in netball and martial arts.
Claire has a special interest in endurance sports, with particular focus in triathlon, for injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement, in all three disciplines through both biomechanical and movement analysis and treatment, and optimal, scientifically proven nutritional support.
She has a keen interest in all sports but in her spare time, Claire regularly enjoys competing, mainly in triathlons and cycle events, including 2 Ironman….so far.
She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and the SENr (Sports and Exercise Nutrition register) and associate member of BDA (The Association of UK Dieticians) for nutrition.
