Mrs Anita Barton
Grad Dip Phys, MCSP, SRP
Anita graduated from King’s College (London) in 1985 and worked in the NHS for 7 years before moving into Private Practice in 1992.
Anita worked alongside a Consultant physiotherapist who was conducting research in Carpal tunnel and peripheral nerve injuries in the upper limb. She lectured on post-graduate courses for physiotherapists and supervised students.
She has worked alongside rugby and triathlon clubs using her experience of manual therapy, orthopaedics and sports injuries to return athletes to full performance. Anita has a special interest in treating injuries related to rugby, cricket and martial arts.
Anita has specialised in the treatment and rehabilitation of shoulders, attending recent courses in the advances of the treatment of upper limb injuries. This has led to her extending her expertise and qualifying as a BAHT Hand Therapist. This is a much sought after qualification and Anita works closely with upper limb consultants to offer a specialist service.
Outside of work Anita enjoys many sports and outdoor activities, particularly skiing. She qualified as a ski coach in 1991 and taught part-time prior to having children.
