Dr. Clare Kevis, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, is a chartered psychologist and associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (Membership Number 15525). She consults at Manor Clinic on Monday mornings. She qualified as a clinical psychologist in 1983, at the University of East London and subsequently completed an Open University post-qualification doctorate in 2001 at Solomons Centre, South London. Dr. Kevis has worked with adults at Guys and Oxleas National Health Service Trusts over a seventeen year period. She has worked in private practice since 1995, and has experience in insurance medicine. Since 2000, Dr. Kevis has combined private work with working in a charitable organisation.
Dr. Kevis has particular expertise in providing a range of therapies to problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, life adjustment problems, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.
An initial appointment will involve the formulation of the psychological problem and a discussion contred on how the therapy could proceed. Advice concerning the number of sessions required will then be discussed. In addition, Dr. Kevis is able to provide a thorough psychometric assessment seeking to further understand issues of intellect, neuropsychological difficulties, personality type, or memory difficulties.
A referral from a medical practitioner often is the starting point, but self-referrals are also accepted.
